Prawns for Breakfast, anyone?

Well last night I bought some prawns intending to do a curry but in the end I didn’t feel like one.

This morning, I didn’t know what I wanted for breakfast so I pretty much chucked a load of stuff together and hoped for the best, and it worked!!

This is a stunning breakfast idea and definitely one I will have again, it is something different to the usual fruit & yogurt, cereal or bacon & egg. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!!

Slimming World Burgers

OMG, where have these been all my life?

Something so simple yet devine. Meaty, tasty, melt in the mouth gorgeous and you know what the best bit is? THEY ARE SYN FREE!!!

Ingredients are as follows… This made us 6 burgers!!

  • 500g 5% lean beef mince
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 whole meal rolls (one 60g roll is a HEB so this is for two people unless you want to Syn the second roll)
  • lettuce leaves and/or whatever else you want to include.
  • cheese slices (HEA)

  1. Mix the mince, Worcestershire sauce, garlic & onion in a bowl (messy job but someone has to do it)
  2. divide the mixture into 6 burgers (or however many you want to make… Ours were pretty big)
  3. Spray fry light in a frying pan and fry each burger for about 8 minutes or until cooked, depending on thickness. Turn half way through cooking.
  4. When burgers are cooked add cheese on top and melt in frying pan for another minute or so.
  5. Add two (or three!) burgers to each roll. We also added cooked bacon, and add whatever else you want to. Lettuce, tomatoes, gerkins… Etc… 😊

We we had ours with sweetcorn relish (1 Syn), beetroot salad and SW chips.

Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Welcome to Waist Not, Want Lot

Hello everyone! Welcome to ‘Waist Not, Want Lot!’

My name is Elaine, I just wanted to write an introductory post before we get down to the nitty gritty of Slimming World! 😁

I joined Slimming World in November 2015 weighing the heaviest I have ever weighed in my life and feeling pretty miserable about it.

To date I have lost 2st 0.5lbs (hey, every 0.5lb counts!! 😊) and I hope with this blog we can continue our slimming world journeys together, or if you’re just starting this blog will also be a help to you too!!

I have named it ‘Waist Not, Want Lot’ because I am a big eater (hence the weight gain haha) but in Slimming World it is definitely possible to lose weight and eat big meals!!
